Hair
Hey, thanks everyone for the ideas and comments. I’ll respond shortly to everyone, but for now, I’ve been playing with a virtual makeover site and have come up with two looks that I like more than the others. That makeover thing is fun, though. I made myself look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. It was teh awsum! Not sure about the color, but I’m almost leaning toward the second one more. The first one just looks weird on my head, though it could be because of some adjustments I’ve made. The end.

i think the bangs suit you better–they lengthen your face. the first one, while a totes gorgeous color, makes your face look round.
ps as mentioned before: damage! this DOES NOT mean “ruin the shit out of your hair”. it just means that frankly, you can’t have smooth hair with a totally intact cuticle AND bouncy hair. get me?

Oh yeah, I get it about the roughed-up cuticles.
It’s just interesting, and something I’ve never thought about, that I’ve never had much body to my hair because of my refusal (read: laziness) to do anything untoward to it. Because, let’s face it, when your hair is nine feet long, ANYTHING you do to it takes five gazillion hours.
ooh ooh! the second one fer sure!
who knew smarticus was so knowledgeable about these things? she needs to give me some pointers too. but then i’d have to show myself instead of remaining the woman of mystery behind the keyboard. bwa ha ha.
I like the second one best.
Yeah, second one. The first one chubs up the face a bit.
Give linkage to the makeover site. I want to look like Mimi too.
I’m such a follower.
I think a shoulder-length bob with long layers would look incredible on you!
Not that you care what I think… But I like the 2nd one also. It’s very you, just without the long length. Plus I think it will be easier for you to do things with as opposed to the first one.
OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE the second look. The first one is cool too but the second one looks so awesome!! I don’t know about cutting your hair that short though. You will miss it! Trust me I’ve been there done that more than once. So anyway sorry for introducing you to a new addiction. I played with that thing waaaaaay too much too.
