  • How geek is my family?

Brandon, at 4 1/2, is playing World of Warcraft on a home server.  Melena is making taco-tongue.

I'm going to post some photos protected!  Maybe only two!

  • Hee!  That's double super geeky!  I like it!

  • what's a home server?

my three year old (oh shit she turned four last sunday) plays but she has very specific criteria:
-she wants to make a new character (she always calls them new *girls*) on a server with no existing characters
-she gets mad if she makes a *blue* character and then can't immediately make a *red* character on the same server (stupid pvp servers!)
-she'll play for about 20 minutes, starting the first quests but not really finishing them, and then get bored and want to make a new character.

generally she makes female blood elf priests, or female gnome mages. she knows the first blood elf / human / gnome / dwarf quests from repetition, and goes through those.

what server do you / your hub play on?

  • Yeah... we had Jenna playing WoW at that age too. So far Evan's only geeky thing is pointing at everything with wheels and saying "caaaaaaa" because apparently, he is unaware that there are consonants at the end of some words.

Yesterday was my birthday. You should've given me cookies.

  • @macgillicuddy - my husband has the WoW server software, and we run it on a computer in the basement, meaning we don't have to deal with anyone else but us. No public server / hub, no idiot players, so Bran is free to jump off cliffs as often as he wants, also because his character has been hacked and rarely dies. Of course, after the bazillionth time throwing himself off a cliff and laughing hysterically, he dies. I heard him tell Craig last night that he (Bran) wanted him (Craig) to go get his body when he turns into a ghost again.

@kcmomommy - maybe Evan is from Boston? Maybe? And I knew it was your birthday, and was going to at least send an email, and then didn't get to it. Happy late birthday. We ate your damned cookies.
